Legendary songwriter, pianist and performer Leon Russell, has passed away at the age of 74.

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, Russell played on numerous pop songs as an unknown and was very in demand in the 1960's. Through the years he has been linked to countless greats such as Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker and Elton John, who was at one time an opening act for him. Later helped construct a reunion and comeback with the album titled "The Union."

Suffering numerous health problems over the years, Russell passed away on November 13, at the age of 74.
