The Michigan Medical Marijuana Licensing Board met yesterday, during which it was proposed that all medical marijuana dispensaries be shut down by September 15, 2017 if they want to be eligible for official license under the new system that will be effective December 15, 2017.

The board chair, Rick Johnson, cited the 2013 state Supreme Court ruling that deemed all dispensaries as illegal under the 'Michigan Medical Marihuana Act'.

One member of the board was absent yesterday and as it stood, there wouldn't have been enough votes to clear the proposal. MLive.com has more here.
