This Weekend in Detroit will see a new event held at Little Caesar Arena.  The event will be the inaugural Hockeytown Winterfest. 

According to the Detroit Red Wings, the event will be held inside and outside of the Little Caesars Arena on Sunday, January 20th.

The event is free to the public and is for all ages.   The event will start at 2 p.m. and will be open until 7 or until the conclusion of the Red Wings game in Vancouver.

Public skating will be available on the ice.  The Red Wings game will be shown on the video board as well as through out the arena.

A curling clinic will take place in the Belfor Training Center.  Interactive hockey zones and a meet and greet with Red Wings alumni will also take place.

An Xbox gaming zone, face painters and a magician are among other activities available. The restaurants in Little Caesars Arena will also be open and will have specials through out the event.
