Living Estate Sale Scheduled For Lansing’s Alfreda Schmidt

The long time pillar of the Lansing community will hold a living estate sale this Thursday and Friday at the former City Council President's home at 1414 Lindbergh Drive. Mementos of both her personal life and political career will be featured as part of the sale.

Her most famous trademark, her hats, will also be on sale. Known as the woman with 100 hats," she will be offering at least 25 of them for sale.

Many other items will be offered including furniture and a Marilyn Monroe calendar that features a nude image of the iconic actress.

The sale will be held from 9:00 - 5:00 on Thursday and 9:00 - 4:00 on Friday.
