Friday night at Studio C, My Honey and I saw 'Lone Survivor', the movie based on the book written by former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell.  Luttrell and his fellow SEAL Team 10 members were on a mission in June 2005 to capture or kill a notorious Taliban leader. The movie does a great job of honoring the soldiers and giving you an idea of what it would be like to be in that situation (though obviously, that's one of those things we won't ever know the full scope of until we live it).  I only wished that the film had given us better insight into who these soldiers were and connected us to them better.

Luttrell was the only one to survive that brutal mission.

If nothing else, it seems important for us to bear witness to what our soldiers experience while serving our nation - the least we can do from the comfort of a theater seat.
