71 year old Larry Ried of Mason has been playing golf for decades - the Lansing State Journal reports that he thinks he's been a duffer for "somewhere between 50 and 60 years."

Now that Ried's retired, he's on the golf course five days a week, with the bulk of those days at Mason's Eldorado Golf Course.  Despite the decades of play, a hole-in-one had eluded Ried. Until that day he got TWO hole-in-ones!

Yesterday, Ried shot a hole-in-one on the fourth hole at Eldorado. Then did the same on the sixth hole.

Ried told the Lansing State Journal, "Oh man, it's like you died and gone to heaven. You can't believe the elation you have. Play all these years, and you think you're never going to get one, and then 15 minutes later, you do it again."

I also love the story of the married Ionia couple, Tony and Janet Lundy, who shot back-to-back holes-in-one at Grand Ledge's Ledge Meadows - yes, there were witnesses!
