Meat Thievery in Lansing

The LSJ reports that around noon yesterday, a 47 year old woman and 49 year old man slipped into the back of Meat Southern BBQ & Carnivore Cuisine on Turner Street in Old Town.  The pair are accused of busting into one of the restaurant smokers and stealing several pounds of meat and a couple racks of ribs AS THE MEAT WAS COOKING!  The duo nabbed about a thousand dollars worth of meat.  The whole thing was caught on surveillance video. The ne'er do wells were nabbed soon after and they are facing felony charges. 'Meat' had to close down for the day after the thievery, but they'll be back in business today.
