Meridian Township notified residents today that they can now see if crimes have been committed in their neighborhoods. WILX.com reported the story Tuesday night and township officials notified Nixle and Facebook users as well.

Crimemapping.com is now helping Meridian Township officials to track crimes and alert residents. Users can search by crime type, by date, and even have e-mail alerts sent if something happens near a user specified location.
