The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has modernized its long-standing poaching hotline, making it easier for residents to "R.A.P." WLNS.com reports that the poaching hotline now accepts text messages.

The "Report All Poaching" hotline is staffed 24/7/365 by the DNR's law enforcement division. Not only can residents call 1-800-292-7800 to report poaching, text messages and photos can now be sent to the same number.

Once a text report is made, a dispatcher will contact the sender by telephone to obtain more details on the sender's report.
