WLNS.com reports that the Michigan Strategic Fund Board has approved a $5 million grant for online retailer Amazon to build a facility in Wayne County that would create up to 1,600 jobs.

The most recent grant approval paves the way for a distribution center in Romulus. Another grant was given the green light earlier this year for another center in Livonia. Amazon will spend up to $140 million on the construction costs.
