WILX.com reports that a school bus driver in Washtenaw County's Dexter School District is taking some heat after purposely running over an injured deer.

The district told families that they do not condone the driver's action in the presence of students. But, they believe that the driver acted out of compassion. The deer had reportedly been hit prior to the bus entering a student drop off zone.

The driver will not face any reported disciplinary actions.
