During his weekly press conference, Mark Dantonio said that standout linebacker Jon Reschke would be out "for a significant amount of time"

Reschke, a redshirt junior linebacker this year, had an incredible interception during the Notre Dame game. That game marked Reschke's return from a hand injury that forced him to miss the Furman game. Now Reschke is out for the foreseeable future with a severe ankle sprain.

With the loss of Reschke, Dantonio knows he lost one of his best playmakers but expressed belief in what is a deep linebackers corps to fill the void left behind. Riley Bullough was said to be "day-to-day" during the same press conference.

"I'm confident we'll get him [Reschke] back before the end of the season" Dantonio said.

He also reiterated multiple times Bullough was day-to-day with no real specifics on what was ailing him.

Reschke was the listed starter at the Sam Linebacker (Weak side) entering this season and he started all 14 games at that position in 2015. He has been playing in the Star (Strong side) linebacker position in anticipation of Ed Davis being back this season

It is unknown currently if Reschke is eligible for a medical redshirt if he should have to miss the rest of the season given that he has a previous redshirt on his record and played in game action this season. However, given Dantonio's optimism the team will get him back that point should be moot.
