WILX.com reports that the Michigan State Police have targeted I-94 for reckless drivers.

The entire stretch between Detroit and New Buffalo will see increased patrols after another year of traffic crash increases. Wrecks were up 7 percent in 2017 from 2016, with 6,010 crashes reported. Accidents involving commercial vehicles also increased again in 2017 by 10 percent.

Troopers will be focusing on cracking down on distracted and aggressive driving. They will also be looking for drivers that use excessive speed, improper lanes, and tailgate.
