Apparently, Michigan State University graduates really appreciate what their time at campus meant for the rest of their lives. WLNS.com is reporting that the school had its most successful fiscal year from a donations standpoint, raking in $272 million in 2015-16. But, the university has their sights set on even more donor support over the next two years.

MSU, through its Empower Extraordinary fundraising effort, has a total goal of $1.5 million by 2018. The report cites a total of $1.2 billion, thus far, from roughly 249,000 donors. That is an average of just under $4,820 per contributor.
