WILX TV 10 reports that authorities found three credit card skimmers in Michigan over the weekend after they checked over three thousand gas station pumps.

Two skimmers were found in Howell - one at the Mug and Bopps South and one at the Mobil. The third skimming device was found at a Citgo in Cedar Springs.

Sounds like the best way to avoid getting your credit card info swiped by scammers targeting gas pumps is to pay inside the gas station; that will be the case until all our plastic gets switched over from magnetic strips to chips inside the cards, which should happen for everyone by October of this year.
