As if last week's impromptu snowstorm after 60-degree temperatures wasn't enough, winter is back for more.

The National Weather Services says much of Michigan can expect "steady widespread" snow late Monday evening and into Tuesday. The Mid-Michigan region is in for anywhere from 1 to 3 inches.

While accumulations may be light, the NWS says the Tuesday morning commute could be hazardous. And conditions could worsen Tuesday.

"Hit or miss showers will persist through Tuesday," the NWS said on Facebook. "These showers may become briefly intense, limiting visibility and quickly coating roads with a dusting of snow. Rain may also mix with snow showers Tuesday afternoon, mainly along/south of I-96."
