This amazing video was shot this weekend. Philip McNamara was on a boat off the coast of Papua New Guinea filming Mount Tavurvu in the distance when the volcano exploded, sending up a plume of ash and smoke. The explosion can be heard about 13 seconds after the eruption and if you watch the smoke pile pour out, you can see the shock wave clouds spread.
