Mr. Taco May Really, Really Open Soon in Lansing

The Lansing State Journal reports that the beloved Mr. Taco restaurant, which originally opened on MLK in south Lansing in 1967 before closing all area operations years ago, will likely be reborn. Soon. Ish.

The Mr. Taco Facebook page was started in 2015 by Bill Bonofiglo of Grand Rapids, announcing the imminent return of the restaurant. Area residents have been waiting, patiently and otherwise. Some have taken to fighting over the issue on social media.

Much has been done to prepare for the rebirth of the brand, the latest of which was a microloan of $15,000 from the Lansing Economic Development Corporation that was approved Friday.
