It seems that a restructuring of State Government facilities will lead to Michigan State Police personnel to move their headquarters for the second time in 5 years. It was 2009 when MSP officials made a controversial move to Downtown Lansing from their former quarters adjacent to Michigan State University. According to an article at lsj.com, the Michigan Department of Community Health will be among those to move into the current Headquarters on Grand Avenue. Other departments will also be making moves, allowing the state government to vacate the Capitol View building. The article states that the moves will save the state roughly $30 million.
