Michigan State University celebrates homecoming this weekend. Here are a few things that fans and alumni can take part in:

The Homecoming Parade will be Friday night at 6:00pm. the route will start at the Hannah Community Center, run south on Abbot, east on Grand River, south on Collingwood Entrance, before concluding near MSU Auditorium and "The Rock" along the banks of the Red Cedar River. According to WILX.com, the following streets will be closed as a result:

Abbot Road between Whitehills Drive and Burcham Drive from 2:30pm-7:00pm

Abbot Road between Burcham and Grand River from 5:30pm-7:15pm

Burcham between Old Hickory Lane (at East Lansing High School)and Abbot from 3:30pm-7:15pm

Grand River between Abbot and Collingwood from 5:30pm-7:15pm

Also, Midnight Madness, the start to MSU Basketball season will take place Friday night at 10:00pm with team introductions and exhibitions for both the Men's and Women's teams. A special broadcast of the event will be on WMMQ beginning Friday night at 10:00pm.

And, of course, the Homecoming Football Game against Northwestern takes place Saturday at 3:30pm inside Spartan Stadium. WMMq's coverage begins at 12:00pm Saturday with the Sparrow Tailgate Show live from Spartan Stadium.
