An update to a story posted yesterday...MLive.com is reporting that Taco Bell and MSU have reached a sponsorship agreement that will allow Spartan Fans to continue receiving free tacos if they have a ticket stub from a Michigan State Men's Basketball home game where the Spartans score at least 70 points.

The sponsorship and coinciding free taco promotion had been a Spartan Tradition since 2004. That original agreement expired at the end of the 2012-13 season, and Taco Bell originally decided to not renew. Thus, the ire of The Izzone and other fans was drawn as they were denied their free tacos for home games against McNeese State and Portland. Apparently, the local Taco Bell franchisee, heard the voices loud and clear, as they announced that they would continue the free taco promotion. But, there was one problem...university logos and trademarks, including ticket stubs, are not to be used as a promotional tool without consent of MSU. The announcement of the new agreement alleviates that issue. The free taco tradition continues!! Way to go fans!!! Your voices have been heard loud and clear!!
