Mt. Pleasant Next In Line to Alienate Smokers

The City of Mount Pleasant is the next municipality in line to ban smoking in public places. According to wilx.com, the effort began with Mount Pleasant's Parks and Recreation Department. Officials are looking to implement the ban this year. And, here's the kicker, it will be a policy initially policed by citizens, referred to as "voluntary compliance" by city leaders. However, if it's necessary, stronger enforcement can be implemented in the future. The ban not only covers cigarettes, but all tobacco products and e-cigs.
