DeWitt Township Man Murdered in East Lansing Overnight

22 year old Michael Anthony Smith of DeWitt Township was fatally shot in the Grove Street parking garage in downtown East Lansing just before midnight last night, about a block from the East Lansing Police Department.

Neither Smith or the other man were students at Michigan State University.

The East Lansing Police Department describes the suspects in a press release as follows:

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION
The first suspect is described as a black male, 5’9” tall; weighing between 160 and 185 lbs. The second suspect is described as a black male, 5’11’ tall; weighing approximately 200 lbs. The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle described as a red, four-door sedan, possibly a Lincoln or Dodge.
