"The Community Foundation" of Lansing has a mission to give grants to non-profit community organizations that work to "enhance the quality of life for people in Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties."

They currently have a master plan of 13 projects along the Riverfront, which includes a new concert venue under the Shiawassee Street Bridge called the "HUB".

The downtown Lansing Riverfront Renaissance will stretch from the Cherry Hill boat launch, near 496, all the way to the Brenke Fish Ladder in Old Town Lansing.

The plans include a 'Lighted Forest', outdoor gas fireplace and much more. Over a million dollars will be spent on the project, which is being funded not only by The Community Foundation, but also by organizations and businesses in Lansing.

It was just announced that the Rotary Club of Lansing Foundation has pledged to spend $400,000.00 for naming rights for the new park, which will be a part of the master plan for the downtown Lansing riverfront development - it will be near the Lansing Center.

Additional supporters, financially and otherwise, who are contributing to a better Lansing include:

Auto-Owners Insurance

Team Lansing Foundation (an arm of the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau)

Gillespie Group

City of Lansing

The Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA)

Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP)
