Through a press release Thursday, DTE Energy Music Theater announced new security measures aimed at keeping fans safe in a more convenient manner. Walk through metal detectors are being installed at all entrances and are expected to be operational by Sunday's opening concert featuring country act Dierks Bentley.

No longer will fans have to wait to be screened by security guards with wands upon entrance. Patrons entering will be asked to remove large metal objects from their pockets into a basket while walking through the screening system, but will not have to remove loose change, belts, or shoes.

But, before you head to your next event at any of the Palace Entertainment Group venues, be sure to check out their entrance policies. Here is a link to their website for more details.
