It's no secret that I love old stuff! I love odd stuff, antiques, old advertising pieces and yes, vintage vinyl records.

In a recent online auction, I bid on a large quantity of vinyl records that included 45's, 33 1/3's and 78's. It also had some VHS tapes as well. What I didn't realize when I placed my bid was the actual quantity of all pieces involved. I was subsequently notified that I had won the auction and to my surprise at pick up, I felt like sheriff Brody in Jaws. In my case, I didn't need "a bigger boat" but I would need a bigger vehicle to haul it!

With my amazing wife Sara Marie in tow, we loaded over 1,000 vinyl albums and 45's into the SUV. Our second trip, we loaded up a good portion of the over 800 VHS tapes that came with it. Still more remain and I have yet to retrieve them. Add in a box of instructional DVD's, 8 track tapes and a couple of reel to reel tapes, and you have it all!

Needless to say, I will probably have several booths at the upcoming Mid Michigan Yard Sale just to help clear some room in my pole barn that was already full with other old stuff!

If you'd like to see some of this stuff for yourself, I have a page dedicated to my love of all things old at www.facebook.com/MIPICKANDFLIP
