Pants Down in Dallas: The Omni Goes Green for the Spartans

It was a sight that stopped me in my tracks, seeing the Omni Hotel lit up in Spartan Green. As I was taking pictures, an Alabama couple was trying to get a selfie in front of the ROLL TIDE banner. I stopped and asked if I could help. They were blown away an opponent helped them. Sara Wiles took some great pics of the lights. Here are a few.

That is the crazy thing about some football fans from the south, they got all dressed up. Like going out somewhere nice to go to the game. Their dresses and suits match the team colors. In the north, we wear stuff that says Spartans or featured the logo. Down south, you don't see a lot of logos, just team colors with nice outfits. Classy. The Alabama fans we sat with were very complimentary to our team. I had a great time with them.

When we returned after the 38-0 Alabama win, the hotel stayed in Crimson and the Alabama "A" stayed up all night. As nice and classy as they were, I am still rooting for Clemson to beat them because I just don't want to see Nick Saban win another title. He has 3 at Alabama and 4 overall. He is 9-0 against his former assistants and facing one in the Championship game. I so wanted Dantonio to be the one to break through.
