Mark Dantonio's sixth consecutive press conference off of a loss to match his team's six game losing streak was surprisingly upbeat for a team coming off of a rivalry game loss.

Obviously Mark Dantonio is never one to quit on his team or a season, however with his "QB of the future" Brian Lewerke out for the rest of the year it does put a damper on the remaining four games if you're looking to the future for MSU football.

Some had speculated that either Colar Kuhns (walk-on) or Messiah DeWeaver (currently redshirted) would come in to the murky QB situation with Lewerke out.

Speaking of the future, the immediate future for Michigan State has them playing some winnable games but they must go four for four and that includes Ohio State coming into East Lansing.

Mark Dantonio has not missed a bowl season while at Michigan State.

With many supporters, alumni, students, and anyone in general who follows Michigan State disappointed with the current season, Dantonio knows the importance of not only bouncing back next season but just keeping things positive in the present.

Michigan State is on the road still searching for their first Big Ten win of 2016 playing Illinois on Saturday. Kickoff is at noon and you can catch all the action on your home for Spartan Sports, Classic Rock 94.9 WMMQ and Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM.
