The Lansing State Journal dropped news Tuesday that may upset some locals. After 17 years, Potterville's annual Gizzard Fest may be a thing of the past.

According to the story, the 2017 festival has been cancelled after the man who has organized the event for so many years has stepped down as festival chairperson. Joe Bristol, owner of Joe's Gizzard City told LSJ that he is tired. He wants Potterville to have a festival, but says he is no longer the guy to organize it.

If somebody doesn't step forward to take over the festival organizing efforts, Gizzard Fest will likely never be back.
