Since he was the top draft pick for the Detroit Red Wings this past summer fans have wanted to see Filip Zadina in Detroit.  As the season winds down he may get a chance to play.

According to the story from M-Live, the Red Wings top draft pick will see some action in Detroit before the end of the season.

Zadina has spent his entire season so far in Grand Rapids playing for the Griffins.   He has 11 goals and 12 assists in 39 games.  He also has a team worst -14 rating.

March will probably be when Zadina is called up.  The Red Wings can recall 4 players following the trade deadline which is on February 25th.

I think this is a good idea not only lets the fans see a future piece of the team but also gives Zadina a chance to see what he needs to work on to make to the Red Wings.

Hopefully they will let him play with the top two lines and not put him on the 4th line.   Until he comes up with the Wings you can watch Zadina with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
