As I perused LSJ.com today, I was reminded that I had better check my voter registration status. So, maybe this will serve as a friendly reminder for you.

Primary Tuesday is coming up on August 2, 2016 in Michigan. Now, this has nothing to do with the hotly contested 2016 Presidential Election. But, it could have strong implications on who represents you on local and state issues. In Ingham County alone, candidates are vying for party nomination for a myriad of offices including state House, County Prosecutor, County Sheriff, and County Clerk. Here is a link to a list of primary elections in Ingham County. For Eaton County info, here is a link. And, two more for Clinton County and Jackson County.

So, when exactly is that voter registration deadline? This Tuesday, July 5, 2016 is the final day to register. To register visit your local clerk's office, or, refer to this link to the Michigan Secretary of State. To check your current registration status or polling location, use this link.
