The current edition of City Pulse has a pretty interesting story about how the City of Lansing seems to have adopted a new policy of not releasing the names of people arrested for prostitution. The realization came when City Pulse recently requested arrest records for prostitution in Lansing and what they received were documents with names of all parties blacked out.

This new policy is apparently at the direction of the new City Attorney, Joseph Abood. Some contend that this violates the state Freedom of Information act.
