Representative Jeff Irwin from Ann Arbor has proposed that Michigan eliminate daylight saving time and follow the standard time of the zone 'in which it is located'. Irwin cites several studies that document increased heart attacks and traffic wrecks following the time shift in Spring.

Michigan isn't the only state considering the measure; The Huffington Post reports that it's up for debate in Oregon, too.

We talked about it this morning on the air - Joey and I are in favor of not switching back and forth. My friend Ted texted me and said he disagrees because he likes the daylight at the end of the day this time of year. So maybe we can just stay where we are right now and call it good?
