(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

Tonight, we look back on a day in Rock 'n' Roll history. 37 years ago, Lynyrd Skynyrd's fifth studio LP Street Survivors was released. The album featured timeless classics, and an eerie, ironic original cover art. The seven band members were originally photographed among a burning inferno. Nearly one week later, a charter jet crash would result in the deaths of founder and lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist and vocalist Steve Gaines, his sister and back up singer Cassie Gaines, and three others. The rest of the band came away alive, but with serious injuries.

Tune in for three from the classic LP: "What's Your Name", "That Smell", and "I Know A Little". It's tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
