(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

We look back on another day in Rock 'n' Roll history tonight. November 10, 1976, Bruce Springsteen and The E. Street Band released a 5-vinyl LP box set of live material, Live 1975-85. The box set is one of the best selling live releases to date, and was the first album in 9 years to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. (Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life, 1976) To date, the box set is certified 13 times platinum, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, trailing only Garth Brooks' Double Live. However, RIAA based the 13 times platinum status by considering each disc as an individual unit sold. The actual total units sold is around 4 million, putting it behind several other live LP's, including Eric Clapton Unplugged (10 million) and Peter Frampton's Frampton Comes Alive (8 million).

Tonight, we mark the anniversary of the box set's release with three from Live 1975-85. Tune in for live versions of "Spirit In The Night", "Because The Night", and "Cover Me". It's tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
