(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

We celebrate another Rock 'n' Roll birthday tonight. Canadian rocker and activist Neil Young turns 69 today. Young is fresh off of his second album release of 2014. Storytone was released earlier this month, complete with a 92 piece orchestra, choir, and big band backing him on 10 completely new tracks. The earlier LP was a covers album titled A Letter Home, recorded in the Nashville studio of native Michigander Jack White. Young is also in the midst of a divorce after 36 years of marriage, and reportedly is dating Daryl Hannah...much to the chagrin of former band mate David Crosby, who referred to Hannah as a "purely poisonous predator".

Needless to say, at 69, life is surely not dull for Neil Young. On his birthday, we'll hear three live classics from Young's days past. Tune in for "Heart Of Gold", "Rockin' In The Free World", and "Cinnamon Girl"...all live!! It's tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
