(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

We celebrate another Rock 'n' Roll birthday tonight, as Styx's James "J.Y." Young turns 65. Young is the only original band member to have participated in all of the band's efforts...and, coincidentally, is the only band member capable of lending some ass kicking arena rock sounds. If you happen to come across an absolute rocker from Styx with a shredding guitar solo, chances are it's J.Y.'s handy work. The band is still out doing their thing, most recently with fellow Illinois rockers REO Speedwagon, and Midwest douche nozzle Ted Nugent.

Tonight, we'll do three of those riff laden rockers from Styx, written and performed by James Young. Tune in for "Miss America", "Snowblind", and "Half-Penny, Two-Penny". It's tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!
