. The first number one LP for Petty, ever, will compete against some heavyweights. U2's iTunes only release, Songs Of Innocence is also nominated, along with Ryan Adams' self-titled LP, Turn Blue from The Black Keys, and Beck's Morning Phase. I will be the first to admit, I'm not a fan of new rock released in the last 10-15 years, which is why Hypnotic Eye was such a breath of fresh air to this classic rocker. Whether its outstanding composition, production, and overall greatness is enough to win the award over the other Academy sweethearts it competes with remains to be seen. We'll find out February 8, 2015.

Tonight, we will hear three tracks from the latest effort from T.P. and Company. Tune in for "American Dream Plan B", "Red River", and "U Get Me High". It's tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot only on 94.9 WMMQ!
