(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

Well, I'm back after an interesting holiday "stay-cation", chock full of power outages, snowstorms, and, well...work!! But, now that I'm back in the proverbial saddle at WMMQ, The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is as well. And, what a day to do so...this day in 1958, Kalamazoo-based Gibson received a patent on their famed "Flying-V" guitar model, bringing a new look and sound for future metal musicians. (Oh, yeah...and to Blues Great Albert King, too..)

Today, we celebrate an innovative day in rock history by playing three songs featuring three guitarists, and their trustworthy Flying-V's...The Late Randy Rhodes along with Ozzy and "I Don't Know"; Rudolf Schenker, The Scorpions and "Big City Nights"; and Eddie Van Halen with "Hot For Teacher"!! Tune in for sizzling, hi-"flying" sounds of tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot on 94.9 WMMQ!!
