With MSU Basketball knocking our Thursday Triple Shot off the air, we celebrate a rock and roll birthday one day belated. John W. "J." Geils celebrated birthday 68 yesterday. Geils and his band mates haven't exactly seen eye to eye in years past. In fact, the break up and demise of the great J.Geils Band may be one of the nastiest separations in rock history. In 2012, Geils sued four of those former band mates when they wanted to use the band's name as they toured...without Geils. (Imagine Sammy and Michael Anthony using the Van Halen name without Alex or Eddie...)
