(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

Today is a big day in American History. On April 7, 1933 Prohibition was repealed in the U.S. for beer of no more than 3.2% alcohol by weight. Ratification of the Twenty-First Amendment wouldn't come for another 8 months, allowing all types of booze to freely flow by federal standards as each state would ratify its own laws and guidelines going forth. But, the delectable refreshment created by wheat, hops, barley, and fermented sugar was once again available at licensed watering holes and speakeasies in 19 states and The District of Columbia. Beer lovers, rejoice!! It's a big day for you! Don't forget, April 17, 2014 will be a big day for local beer enthusiasts...it's the WMMQ Brew-Ha-Ha Bus Tour!! Jump aboard, and experience the outstanding brews concocted right here in the State of Michigan!

Tonight, we will tip a few back while hearing three beer drinking songs!! Of course, we have to get in "Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers" from ZZ Top. We'll also hear from Cream with "Strange Brew", and "Roadhouse Blues" from The Doors. It's MillerTime for tonight's Six O'Clock Triple Shot, only on 94.9 WMMQ!!
