(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

Tonight, we celebrate a Rock 'n' Roll birthday, albeit, a day late. Jethro Tull mainstay Ian Anderson celebrated his 67th yesterday. Anderson is currently busy making the rounds promoting his recent solo venture, Homo Erraticus. In a recent interview, Anderson suggested that the Jethro Tull name may be a thing of the past. He also admits that a lot of the early Progressive Rock material was "a little overblown", referencing the genre's reputation of being overdone musically. A new live LP, Thick As A Brick - Live In Iceland, is set for release later this month, under the name Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson. Anderson will kick off a North American Tour in September.

Tonight, three songs from his old days with Jethro Tull for The Six O'Clock Triple Shot: "Cross-Eyed Mary", "Hymn 43", and "Teacher"...only on 94.9 WMMQ!
