(The Six O'Clock Triple Shot is a daily feature of three songs that share a common theme, heard weeknights on 94.9 WMMQ)

We look back on another day in Rock 'n' Roll history tonight, winding back 39 years. August 13, 2014, Bruce Springsteen and The E. Street Band kicked off their Born To Run tour in New York City. Now, the interesting thing about the tour, it had already kind of been going on since September of 1974. But, technically, the shows leading up to the dates in NYC were billed as the "New Members Tour", introducing the E. Street Band to the Springsteen followers. Needless to say, Born To Run was the breakthrough LP that put The Boss on the map, and the subsequent tour helped to solidify the legendary live status that follows him still to this day.

Tonight, I pull out three live cuts from Born To Run for the Six O'Clock Triple Shot. Tune in to hear "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", "Thunder Road", and "Born To Run", all live, only on 94.9 WMMQ!
