Today marks an important day in Rock 'n' Roll history. September 2, 1984, Van Halen played their final show with David Lee Roth. Though the band would reunite in 1996 for an appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards, no tour ever came to fruition to support the band's Greatest Hits compilation. By the time Roth rejoined the band full time for a 2007 tour, original bass player Michael Anthony was no longer a part of the band. Thus, making today a very significant anniversary...the last VH show with the original line up, 30 years ago today.
