The Detroit Free Press today says that General Motors is offering nearly $90 million dollars in forgiveness to its customers. After printing window stickers on some 2016 sport-utility models with misleading fuel mileage numbers, GM is ready to dole out its sorry cash in the form of either a debit card worth $450 up to $900 to owners of 2016 Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave models, or a 48-month, 60,000-mile extended warranty.

According to the report, which averaged out the approximately $90 million price tag for the automaker, the costly discrepancy on the window stickers over estimated the expected fuel mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon. Vehicle owners who qualify for a refund will be notified beginning May 25.
