State Christmas Tree Dark in Downtown Lansing

Drove past the Capitol last night to get take a look at the State Christmas tree, but alas, it was still dark. The storm that raged through on Friday night, about an hour into the Silver Bells in the City Celebration, put the kibosh on the tree lighting and the fireworks.

An official tree lighting has not yet been scheduled, nor has the fireworks show.

Some people think they should just flip the switch now and roll the fireworks show on New Year's Ever.
