"Nooooo - I'm going to that!!!", is what Duran Martinez said when I told him I was going to put the info here about the special sale this Saturday, June 11th from 8 AM to Noon at the State Surplus Store (MiStore), 31111 W St. Joseph in Lansing. Clearly, he is hoping to be at the front of the line - better get up early, because the thing sold out REALLY quickly the last time.
If you've wondered where your airport-confiscated pocket knives, corkscrews, scissors and shivs end up, it's here. They'll have all sorts of random things that you could find a use for - or resell.
Also, you can check out more random stuff up for auction by the state here www.michigan.gov/mibid
Customers can make payment with cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) and personal checks up to $200. All items are sold as is, where is, and no loading assistance is provided. No returns are accepted or refunds given.
Questions about the state’s surplus program may be directed to the DTMB State Surplus Office at 517-373-9749.
