YouTube has archived yet another gem of Lansing's past. Once upon a time in the not-so-distant-past, Mid-Michigan was a hotbed destination for rockers of all molds...established veterans and newbies cutting their teeth. Lansing residents couldn't get enough rock and roll, and still seethe for it today. Once upon a time, rock acts packed the Lansing Civic Center, The Brewery/Silver Dollar, Dooley's, the now torn down ice arenas, and every festival that came to town. But, it seems nowadays promoters simply ignore Lansing's rockers. Bar owners wisely cater to the younger crowd more prone to spend any given night bellied up to a bar and stage. And, the venues with capacity enough to draw a power name in rock don't sell beer!!

Here's a blast from the past for you: Springsteen at MSU Auditorium in 1976. There's no video, but the sound from the show is captured quite well!
