If you're headed for Lake Michigan today, heads up - the National Weather Service has issued beach hazards and small boat advisories for today. Could be hazardous tomorrow, too.

The advisory stretches from the Indiana shoreline to near Ludington. Waves are expected to be as high as ten feet through that stretch today.

The powerful storm system should move through the region today, which will make swimming and boating conditions dangerous today - they're predicting four to seven foot waves late this afternoon, then six and ten foot waves later this evening.

The National Weather Service says that we'll see rain in the Greater Lansing area today, possibly some thunderstorms, with temperatures reaching the mid 70s. We could get as much as a half inch of rain.

Tomorrow, we should be back to the sunshine with temperatures reaching the mid 70s, under windy conditions.

Hopefully the weather will hold for some summer fun before the inevitable fall weather descends upon us.
