I have always been a fan of Jimmy Kimmel going back to "The Man Show." I identified with him the other night as he bore his soul and shared the story of his son's birth. If you haven't seen this yet, it's really worth a watch.

After our daughter was born with Down Syndrome, we had a difficult time adjusting to the reality. I found sharing our story was very emotional but it helped US own the situation. Click here to read our baby story.

I will need therapy for years after our experience but the kid is awesome. I had a grandparent of a Down Syndrome kid tell me, "you don't know it yet but you just won the lottery."

I can almost tell our baby story now without the waterworks. She is turning 6 months on Thursday. My 43rd birthday.
